And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!

Quoting Isaiah 52:7, Paul recalls the herald who ran across the mountains to announce to Jerusalem that God had acted to save His people. Those feet, dusty and weary from the journey, were called beautiful because of the message they carried. Likewise, every believer who bears witness to Christ walks in the footsteps of that ancient messenger. What makes our feet beautiful is not their appearance but their mission. They carry words of life, peace, and salvation to those who have not yet heard.
To be “sent” is both an honour and a holy responsibility. We do not go in our own authority, but as ambassadors of the risen Lord. The same God who raised Jesus from the dead now sends us with the news of that resurrection to a world still living in death. Every act of witness, every conversation about Christ, every prayer for the lost, and every invitation to faith echoes this sending. When we go, the beauty of God’s mission touches the world through us. The gospel we share is not a burden to bear but a privilege to bring.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for calling me into Your mission. Let my steps be beautiful in Your sight as I go with the good news of Your salvation. Give me joy and courage to be faithful in the task to which You have sent me. Amen.

Do I see myself as one who has been sent by God? How can I make my daily steps part of His beautiful mission to bring the gospel to others?
