…proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
– 1 Timothy 3:16c
The mystery of godliness culminates in mission. The Christ who came in the flesh is now proclaimed among the nations, believed on throughout the world, and exalted in glory. The church’s identity as the pillar of truth means it is not inward-facing only but outward-looking. We are entrusted with proclaiming Christ so that the nations might believe.
This global vision shapes everything we do. The truth is not ours to hoard but to share. Every act of witness, every effort in missions, every small conversation where Christ is named participates in this grand confession: Jesus Christ is Lord. The church should stand tall as the pillar and buttress of truth, exalting Christ so the nations may see and believe.
Prayer
Father, give me boldness to proclaim Christ in my words and actions. Use me and my church to make Jesus known among the nations, until every tongue confesses Him as Lord. Amen.
Meditation
Where is God calling me to proclaim Christ so that others may come to believe in Him?
