All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

This verse shatters any illusion that we can find our way to God through our own wisdom, discipline, or spiritual searching. God can only be known when He is revealed, and Jesus is the one who reveals Him. Human effort, no matter how sincere, cannot break into the knowledge of God. Philosophy may speculate, religion may strive, but unless God chooses to make Himself known, He remains hidden. And Jesus alone has the authority and relationship to make that revelation possible, for only the Son truly knows the Father.
But this is not a word of exclusion; it is a word of grace. Jesus does not hide the Father. He chooses to reveal Him. He came so that we might know the Father. In Jesus, the unknowable becomes knowable, the distant becomes near, the hidden is unveiled. Eternal life begins not when we climb to God, but when we receive what He has made known in His Son. This is why salvation cannot be found anywhere else for no one else reveals the Father but Christ.
Prayer
Lord, I surrender my attempts to reach God on my own. You alone are the revealer of the Father. I receive what You have shown and ask for grace to walk in humble obedience to what You’ve made known. Amen.

Am I still trying to find God through my own effort or understanding, or am I humbly receiving the revelation of God in Jesus Christ?
