More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

The culmination of salvation is not just rescue from wrath or reconciliation from enmity—it is the joy of knowing and rejoicing in God Himself. The gospel does not merely solve our problem of guilt; it brings us into a relationship of delight. From speaking of theological truths, Paul moves into doxology. We rejoice in God because of what Christ has done. Justification is not merely a legal status but an invitation to live in a relationship with God that is marked by joy.
This joy is not based on changing circumstances but on the unchanging reality of reconciliation. It is not joy in gifts, but joy in God—the Giver. The cross is the doorway into a life of worship. When we understand the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the completeness of our salvation, rejoicing is the only fitting response. In Christ, we have not only peace and justification but the privilege of delighting in God Himself.

Father, I rejoice in You today through Jesus Christ. Thank You for making Yourself known to me and for giving me joy in Your presence. May my heart overflow in worship. Amen.
