Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

The blood of Christ not only demonstrates God’s love but also accomplishes our justification. To be justified is to be declared righteous in God’s sight, a legal verdict that erases condemnation. This is not based on our performance but entirely on Christ’s atoning death. His blood is the means by which God satisfies justice and extends mercy.
This justification also secures our future. If God has already gone to the extent of shedding Christ’s blood to justify us, we can be absolutely certain that He will not subject us to His wrath. The logic of grace is this: if God has done the greater thing (justification through blood), how much more will He do the lesser thing (deliverance from wrath)? The cross assures us that judgment is behind us, not ahead of us.

Jesus, thank You for shedding Your blood to justify me. I rest in Your finished work and trust that I am forever safe from the wrath of God. Amen.
