If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

To believe that God raised Jesus from the dead is to trust fully in His finished work. His death atones for sin and His resurrection vindicates His lordship. To confess Him as Lord is to publicly declare allegiance to Him above all else. Apart from faith in Jesus Christ, there is no salvation. Salvation does not come by good works, moral effort, or religious background, but only through embracing Jesus as the risen Lord.
This truth compels us to share the gospel with others. For if this confession is the only doorway to salvation, how urgent it is that others hear it! Yet, we must also recognize that no one can truly say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:3). Our task, then, is to faithfully proclaim the message, trusting the Spirit to awaken hearts to believe. Evangelism is both our responsibility and God’s work. Each time we help someone understand who Jesus is and what He has done, we are participating in the Spirit’s saving mission to bring the lost to that life-changing confession.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that salvation is found in You alone. Give me boldness to share Your gospel with others, and faith to trust that Your Spirit will open their hearts to believe. Amen.
