Owning our sin is painful, but it is also liberating because it dismantles the self-deceptions that keep us from truly repenting from our sins.
Many believers struggle with confession because we fear what we will find when we look honestly at our hearts. Yet Scripture teaches that to come before God with complete honesty. When we name our sins without minimising them, God meets us with cleansing and restoration. Confession is not about self-condemnation; it is about receiving the shining of God’s light into our broken lives so that our sins are completely exposed before the Lord.

Father, give me the courage to face my sin honestly. Remove the instinct to hide, and reshape my heart through Your truth and grace. Amen.
