For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

The gospel is breathtakingly simple and universal. The promise is not reserved for the religious, the moral, or the learned; it is for everyone who calls upon the Lord. The “name of the Lord” denotes His person and authority, His power to save and His right to rule. To call upon His name is to recognise both our helplessness and His sufficiency. No sin disqualifies the sinner who turns to Him in humble trust. The door of salvation stands open to all who will call. Yet apart from this call, there is no salvation.
If calling on the Lord is the only way to be saved, then sharing the gospel is of eternal consequence. Every person who hears the name of Jesus gains the opportunity to call upon Him. We cannot compel faith but we can make sure the name is known. Our words become the vessels through which God offers salvation to the world. Each conversation, each testimony, each act of witness may be the moment God uses to move hearts to call on the Lord and be saved.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the mercy that welcomes everyone who calls upon Your name. Give me courage to make Your name known, and faith to trust Your Spirit to draw hearts to You. Amen.
