The gospel is not only an event in history but also a message entrusted to witnesses. Jesus appeared to his disciples, commissioning them as proclaimers of the risen Christ. A gospel-driven church recognises that its purpose is not inward comfort alone but outward proclamation. Every ministry, whether preaching, mercy work, or fellowship, ultimately serves the task of bearing witness to Christ.
This means the church cannot be content with self-preservation or mere community life. The gospel propels us outward to neighbours, nations, and generations to come. A gospel-driven church arranges its life so that everything points beyond itself to Christ. Its programs are evaluated not by how much they please us but by how faithfully they proclaim the risen Lord.
Prayer
Lord, make us bold witnesses of your gospel. Shape our church to proclaim Christ in all we do, so that many may come to know your saving grace. Amen.
